Easy And Delicious Raw Food Snacks For After School

Every parent wants to give their kids the right nutrition. The best way to accomplish this is by providing them with delicious raw food snacks after school. There are many things to choose from and all of it is packed with plenty of vitamins.

When it comes to being picky about what they eat, children should win an award. Getting them to enjoy a healthy vegan snack seems nearly impossible. However, there is a wide array of appealing combinations that will make the kids quite happy.

Smoothies are a treat that most youngsters enjoy. They are packed with plenty of nutrition and taste great as well. Blend together some apples, bananas oranges, pineapple and brewer's yeast to make a shake that no child can resist.

The vegetarian version of sushi is another hit. Slice up a variety of vegetables such as carrots, bell peppers, avocados and cucumbers into small julienne strips. Wrap with sheets of seaweed. Let the kids help out for some fun.

All kids love brownies. Make a raw version by combining some almond butter, date paste, honey and carob powder. Spread the mixture into a square pan and refrigerate for a couple hours. These are a great alternative to the store bought alternative.

Lettuce wraps are always fun to eat. Cut up avocados, tomatoes, onions, jalapenos and some cilantro. Toss the vegetables with some freshly squeezed lime juice and wrap them in romaine leaves.

When it comes to snacking, chips are a staple. Grind some fresh cut corn into a paste. Frozen corn may also be used. Use cumin, garlic and chili powder to flavor the mixture and then spread it onto a dehydration tray. Score the snacks and dry them for several hours. It's a healthy alternative to those bagged options that are sold in grocery stores.

Pudding may be made by blending mangoes, coconut and lime juice. Mix until creamy and thick. Sprinkle on some chopped nuts like pecans.

Every child loves eating fries. Make them a healthier version by cutting up zucchini strips. Don't forget the ketchup. It's easily made by blending dates, tomatoes, lemon juice and water.

Raw food snacks are great for after school or any time of the day. Choosing a healthy vegan snack for kids is a step in the right direction. The whole family will feel better and have much more energy.
